The variety of landscapes of this route is without any doubt spectacular. There will be the possibility to go through quiet back roads and enjoy wonderful views of the Tuscan countryside.
On the way you will find some extraordinary medieval villages, where we strongly recommend stopping to admire the beauties and curiosities that are present in the individual villages. When the itinerary reaches the coast, it is time to relax on the tranquil beaches of the coast where the crystal clear water awaits you for a refreshing dip. Following the route indicated on the GPS you can appreciate the suggestive change of the coast from cliff to beach.
As this tour allows you to cross both the countryside and the coast of Tuscany, during the trip you will get the opportunity to taste a large quantity of typical dishes accompanied by excellent local wines.

Lucca – Peccioli (55 km)
After leaving behind the walls of Lucca, you start the first day of pedaling along the Nottolini aqueduct to reach the slopes of Monte Serra.
The first village on the way is Sant'Andrea di Compito, famous for an event dedicated to the Camellias. The route continues along one of the most important areas for the production of extra virgin olive oil from the hills of the Lucca area.
Passing through Vicopisano, where we strongly recommend a stop to appreciate the beauties of the village, we reach Pontedera. Here the itinerary will lead along secondary roads to the fantastic village of Peccioli, where the first leg of the journey ends. Accommodation in a Hotel.

Peccioli – Ponteginori (60 km)
Departing from Peccioli you cycle along a wonderful country road with little traffic. On the way there are numerous villages, without doubt one of the most popular is Lajatico. Village where Andrea Bocelli was born, a few kilometers away you can also pass in front of the Teatro del Silenzio, musical arena submerged in the countryside, wanted by the singer where every year in July he also performs in the company of numerous international stars.
Upon arrival in Volterra it is absolutely recommended to take a break to visit the Piazza dei Priori, the city walls, the sources, the Medicea fortress and the Duomo, etc. After this last stop the itinerary continues near Ponteginori where the second stage ends.

Ponteginori - Livorno (50 km)
The stage begins by pedaling in the direction of the coast until you reach Marina di Cecina.
After a pleasant break on the beach, continue north where you see the white beach of Vada and then the coast turns into an imposing cliff overlooking the sea to then reach Livorno.
In the most important port of Tuscany we suggest visiting the canals that cross the historical centre on board of the boats and savor the fresh fish in the many places around the port.
Accommodation in a Hotel as you reach the end of the third stage.

Livorno - Lucca(50 km)
After a visit in the frenetic and characteristic market of Livorno you start along the coastal path that touches the localities of Tirrenia and Marina di Pisa.
Then you will reach Pisa and make a stop in the famous Piazza dei Miracoli to admire its architectural peculiarity, including the popular Leaning Tower.
The itinerary will lead along the relaxing cycle track of the Serchio, which allows you to get to Lucca following a path submerged in the green nature.
At the end of the final stage the bikes will have to be returned to our office near Porta San Pietro.
